That's brilliant. I've been seeing a lot of HDR recently, curiously nothing in the photo mags about this... I've done some cheap ass versions to get similar effects in PS, sometimes taking different exposures of the same shot, or just taking the shot and making multiple layers in PS and then blending the lot with masks etc...I'll have to give it a try.

What I like about all the HDR I've seen is the richness of the colours - this must be something to do with the process, and in this shot you have a line of coloured lights running diagonally across the picture.

Well PS CS2 has an HDR feature that I've been told not to use because it's complex and so difficult to get great results with. Photomatix is very simple so that's cool but you do need a good noise reduction work afterwards and Ninja Noise does the job well. This pic doesn't take full advantage of the HDR. Its true that you get rich colors with it but I need a remote control to get longer pauses than 15 seconds to drag the details in the shadows. I think the key for HDR pics to be great is to have an early morning/early evening low ambient light with some lights in the pic or to have lights with very different intensities. That way you get a full advantage of the several shots. A simple night shot from a city (which I did here) doesn't get really impressive because you can almost do the same job with one shot well exposed. I figured out that my 10 sec. raw shot was very close to the final processed image.
Thanks for your comment !

It's apparent I'm no photographer but I have these crazy ideas in my head that I know will someday be visible to the human eye :D
